Toilet Trouble

From the time that Simon started walking and really getting into things, I've called him my 'Monkey' - hence the monkey costume for Halloween.  I swear, he doesn't stop moving!  He wants to climb up and over everything - it makes me tired just watching him.

Lately, he's decided -  on his own - that he wants to use the big potty.  Yay!  I only wish he were really ready.  He still wakes up wet in the morning, so we'll have to wait a little longer.  However, several times a day we'll find him in the bathroom, trying to use the potty.  He won't leave until we take off his diaper and let him sit for a few seconds on the toilet.  Once he's off he says, "I flush, I flush!"  Well, yesterday I showed him how to use his stool to climb up to the toilet and he was pretty excited about it.

This morning...he disappeared into the bathroom again.  Chris and I were talking, not paying too much attention, and after a little bit Chris decided to check on him. You know that old joke, if you spend too much time in the bathroom people say, 'I was afraid you'd fallen in!'.  Well, Simon actually fell in!

Chris found him - butt first, legs straight up in the air, and his hands just barely able to hang on to the seat.  My poor little Monkey!  Chris pulled him out and he was just dripping all over the carpet!

I'm laughing now - really laughing!  I absolutely wish I had a picture of that moment.

Oh that is funny. Poor little guy though!!...but still pretty funny. :) I'm impressed that he is that interested in potty training already. Ember is not even close!

That's a funny story about Simon. He looks cute in his monkey suit too :) When Dal was potty training the same thing happened to him, he had just got his pants pulled up when he lost his balance and fell in! I heard him yelling from the bathroom and I was pretty surprised at what I found (as was he :)

I'm laughing my head off! If only I could've come to see! Louis asked what I was laughing about so I told him and what does he say? "What's wrong with you?" Hello?! That is stinking funny! I hope he wasn't terribly scarred, though!
